Oran park faq_image
  • What are our opening hours?

We are open Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm
    Saturday 9am - 3pm
    Sunday 9am - 3pm

  • What if I have an urgent medical issue?

In case of an emergency at home, call 000 to get an ambulance. If you need an ambulance after hours, call 000. If you have come to the practice with an urgent medical concern, please inform the reception staff so that a quick assessment can be done to determine if an ambulance is needed.

  • What is the process for transferring records in or out of the medical center?

For records transfer, please ask reception for a 'transfer of record form', which we will send to your previous practice.
For records to be sent to another practice, please send us your signed consent form along with new practice information. The new practice will provide a template for you to fill out.

  • Do I need to make an appointment?

We accept walk-in and booked appointments. We recommend booking at your preferred time as we cannot guarantee wait times for patients who come in without an appointment.

  • Do you have parking on site? How do I get my test results?

There is lots of parking available.

  • How do I get my test results?

You should schedule a further appointment with your doctor to obtain the results of any tests.
In order to schedule an appointment time that is convenient for you, please ask the doctor at the time of your appointment how long it will take to receive the results by the clinic.
Results will not be disclosed over the phone for reasons of confidentiality.

  • What if I have a complaint?

Please contact the practice manager at the medical centre with a phone call or email at info@oranparkmedical.com.au and we will do our best to address your concerns.
we always listen and help you.
If you have any suggestion how we can improve our service , feel free to email or call us.

  • How long are the Appointments?

A patient will be seen every 15 to 20 minutes (three or four appointments per hour) based on an appointment system. However, walk-in patients will still be accepted. We will attend to urgent matters on an as-needed basis. We will do our best to communicate the expected wait time to patients if an undue delay occurs in seeing them.

  • What are the fees for a consultation?

Medicare card holders will have access to a bulk-billed medical consultation at no cost.
For patients without a Medicare card, the private consultation fee is $70 for 15-minute consultations and $120 for appointments lasting 20-minutes or more.
A fee will also be charged for appointments related to occupational health and safety or worker's compensation.
For fees regarding Allied Health Professionals, procedures and other treatments please enquire at reception or give us a call.
Any additional charges will be discussed prior to the consultation/procedure.

  • Does the clinic provide home visits?

In general, we do not conduct home visits, but if appropriate, they can be discussed and arranged at a cost of $250 per visit. We will only provide such care in special circumstances, such as palliative care. It would be much easier for us to take care of you if you were to come to the clinic, where we have a greater range of equipment.

  • If I need care after hours, what should I do?

A bulk-billed home visit is available if you require after-hours medical assistance of a non-urgent nature via 13 SICK or 13 7425. You will receive a report from your nominated GP the following day.
Please call 000 if you need an urgent appointment.

  • Why does my doctor sometimes run late?

Our doctors and receptionists cannot predict how long an appointment will take. Some problems may appear simple, but need further investigation. The doctors at our practice are thorough, and they won't allow a patient to leave until they are certain the highest level of care has been provided. This may delay your appointment. It is sometimes necessary to accommodate a patient who requires medical attention due to an unforeseen emergency. If this happens, please be understanding.

  • Can I provide feedback?

It is always our goal to improve our level of service and healthcare, so we appreciate feedback. If you would like to provide feedback, please fill out the feedback form available from the reception. OR if you are not satisfied with our service contact us at info@oranmedical.com.au - Ph: 0244881080
If you submit a complaint your care will not be affected in any way. We will review your feedback/ complaint and get back to you as soon as possible.
